 Bachelors in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University-Idaho emphasis in Language Arts

Who/What inspired you to go into education?

 I had an amazing 4/5 grade teacher who inspired me to be the myself and I wanted to inspire other people just like he inspired me. Also, I continued to have incredible educators who showed me the power of education and the value of literacy.

What do you do when you aren't in school?

 I like to spend time outdoors! ie; swimming, hiking, boating, playing sports, walking or I enjoy reading, watching movies and cooking.

 Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling

Something Interesting about you:

 I grew up in Iowa out in the country and I love farms. My favorite farm animals are pigs!

What is your favorite Leader In Me habit and why?

Seek First to Understand then to be Understood is my favorite Leader in Me habit because the focus is to learn about others. It is important to learn how to communicate, relate, and get along with others. We can make it far in life by ourselves but we can make it further when we have others around us who support and love us. We do this by first seeking to understand others and then they will take time to understand us!
