What do you do when you aren't in school?

Read, cook, watch TV and movies, hang out with my family

Favorite quote or your philosophy on education?

My philosophy of education is that it is necessary to develop relationships with students in order to teach them. Students need to know they are loved and valued. I love my students!!

Favorite book?

 The Book of Mormon

Something Interesting about you:

I have been to at least 12 (I've lost count) Rick Springfield concerts. I've even traveled as far as Las Vegas and Palm Springs, CA to see him. I have his autograph, part of a drumstick from one of his concerts, and several pictures with him. I have loved him since I was a teenager in the 80s. I had tickets to see him again in June but it was cancelled because of covid (crying face).

Your favorite things:

Going out to eat, watching movies, Rick Springfield, popcorn, gummy bears, traveling.

What is your favorite Leader In Me habit and why?

My favorite Leader in Me habit is Be Proactive because it teaches us that we are in charge of how we behave and feel. This is a great skill to learn because then you can take responsibility for your actions and make changes or improvements where needed.
