Who/What inspired you to go into education?

 After trying other professions and then stopping school for a while I finally decided I wanted to teach. I always resisted because both my parents were educators but I finally realized it's where I'm meant to be.

What do you do when you aren't in school?

 Read, Kayak, Cook, Take care of my family

Favorite quote or your philosophy on education?

 No entertainment is so cheap as reading, nor any pleasure so lasting. Mary Montagu

Favorite book?

 I have so many it's hard to single out just one but my two favorite children's books are Frindle & True Story of the Three Little Pigs. I also love to collect fractured fairy tales.

Something Interesting about you:

 I actually teach at the school that I attended as a child and have been here my entire career.

Begin with the End in Mind- because you can't make progress or complete something if you don't know what you are trying to accomplish.
