Parent’s Corner: Supporting End-of-Year Testing!
Rest and Nutrition: Ensure a good night’s sleep (aim for 9:00 PM) and a nutritious breakfast to boost energy and focus.
Positive Self-Talk: Help your child create a simple mantra like, "I've worked hard and I am ready.” Remind them that a test is just a way to "show what they know" and doesn't define who they are.
The "Deep Breath" Rule: Give them a strategy for when they get stuck. Practice taking a slow, deep breath together and remind them it is okay to skip a hard question and come back to it later.
Celebrate the Effort: Plan a fun, simple after-school activity for test days—like a trip to the park or their favorite dinner. Let them know you are proud of their hard work, no matter the results!
