Dear Roosevelt Families,
Thank you for everything you do to support our learners—from reading at home, practicing math, supporting school attendance to volunteering. Your partnership makes our community stronger!
Our Daily Volunteers: Every day, I see parents and neighbors in our halls helping out in classrooms, prepping materials, or working one-on-one with students. These "extra sets of hands" aren't just helpful—they are a huge part of why our school runs so smoothly. Thank you for showing up for our kids!
Community Council: A huge thank you to our Community Council! Their hard work on the School LAND Trust Plan ensures our funds are used where they matter most. This year’s $58,742 allocation was instrumental in funding essential paraprofessionals for small-group reading instruction and providing Chromebooks for both students and educators. Thank you to our Community Council members: Brooke Krim (Chair), Erika Munns (Vice Chair), Jessica Briggs, Brea Eskelsen, Taleea Fuit, Allie Schneiter, and Natalie Valentine. Thank you to faculty members Tracie Jackson and Nanci Hart for serving on the council this year, too.
PTA is Back! I am also very excited to share that our PTA has officially been re-established! This is a fantastic way for us to collaborate on events and school improvements. A big shout-out to our new leadership team: Rachel Day (President), Cori Orozco (Treasurer), Erin Curtis (Secretary), and Ashley Casperson (Teacher Rep). Watch for upcoming PTA Updates regarding Teacher Appreciation and Field Day plans!
With gratitude,
Heather Hales
Principal
