Our school uses the PBIS system, which stands for Positive Behavior Intervention System, and it is used in our school district to create a positive, safe, learning environment for all students.  Mrs. Griffey’s Title 1 leadership responsibility is to help students and even teachers with the PBIS methods. Mrs. Griffey's job is to help with positive behavior in students by passing out and keeping track of tickets! Students can earn tickets by following all of our Raptor Rules and using correct behavior. These rules are found throughout the school on posters. Mrs. Griffey also charts all the behaviors and data. For example, she keeps track of how many tickets students and classes have and how many tickets have been passed out by teachers and staff! Another thing Mrs. Griffey keeps track of is the number of minors and how many minors students and classes get in total! If any classes receive no recess minors for the week, they get the Golden Sneaker Award for outstanding behavior out at recess. You have probably heard her on the announcements each week handing out Raptor Responsibility Certificates. The teachers and staff award these to responsible students, and Mrs. Griffey hands them out and takes pictures!
