Who/What inspired you to go into education?
Ever since I was young, I knew I wanted to help other children realize their full potential, despite challenges they may have at home. I believe that willpower, self-determination, and support can lead one to success. It has always been my desire to instill that same belief in kids/teens in today's world and education is a great avenue to accomplish that goal.
What do you do when you aren't in school?
My wife and I love traveling! We love experiencing new cultures, cities, and societies. It is our favorite past time. I love to mountain bike, run, and play board/card games with friends and family.
Favorite quote or your philosophy on education?
"If you can dream it, you can do it." - Walt Disney
Favorite book?
I Promise- Lebron James
Something Interesting about you:
I had a non-traditional upbringing during the early years of my life. I was then adopted at age 12 by my grandparents. All of which I am extremely grateful for. It has helped mold me into who I am today, and where my passion to help other young ones derives from.
Your favorite things:
Coldstone, mint chocolate, licorice, Texas Roadhouse, Board games like role playing ones (one night ware-wolf type), or similar to Settlers of Catan.
What is your favorite Leader In Me habit and why?
Think win-win. I like this habit because it teaches humility. It teaches that we don't have to be the only ones who are right, and that we can work together to reach a common goal. It helps one to turn outwards instead of in.
